There are several areas in my relationship with God where I have the capacity to really mess things up. God gives me just enough free will and my flesh is just potent enough for me to seriously wreck my life and my relationship with God. But there are also some areas that are totally fail-safe; areas where God’s grace and power are so present that failure really isn’t an option.
One such area is prayer. God has so arranged the dynamics of prayer that the only real way to fail at prayer is by not praying. To learn more about this, you might want to check out my book Pray Big.
Another area where we have guaranteed success is in testifying about Jesus. The message of Christ is so potent, so dynamic and so anointed that it always hits its target no matter how inexperienced or shaky the communicator may be. We simply cannot fail.
Consider Isaiah 55:10-11–As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
And Romans 1:16–I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
And finally, 1 Corinthians 2:4-5–My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power.
With these kinds of biblical promises (and there are many more), we should feel great liberty and boldness in talking to others about Jesus. We need to get off the mute button when it comes to sharing our faith. God has made his message indestructible.

Thanks for the encouragement, Will.
Communication can be so extremely difficult and frustrating, at times! And communication of concepts that run contrary to human intuition are even more difficult.
It can become pretty intimidating trying to share the gospel message, sometimes.
Nice to be reminded of God’s promises!
Thanks!
